classwork/Homework
Monday IB Biology - Today was the last day to prep in class for your IA. I would expect that you are decided on a research question, you have laid the groundwork for the write up, started all of the preliminary research, and isolated your variables. Essentially you should have all of the "set up" for your work complete by the end of finals day. PLease remember that your work is a very concise "story" of your research. OH, for those of you investigating with human subjects, I've attached the guidelines below. You must use them! IN addition, I found a helpful sheet on scientific discussions about error and uncertainty, something that many of you struggle with. READ IT AND USE IT. Lastly, In addition to your goal of having an IA ready for action, don't forget that on Finals day you must also have something good to eat, and you must eat something good (like Spam). Honors Biology - Today the bulk of our work focused around the last preparations for your finals day game. Please make sure you are making this game around TEACHING the material! Please don't forget to come prepared with additional paper on finals day as there will be some additional writing assignments. Finals day IB Biology - Well, the only homework that you might be doing is the work on your IA. It will ultimately be completed on the second week back from break and there will be no exceptions. We'll be using Turnitin.com. So, really take a look at your protocol and decide if you need serious time to complete it and then get busy. If not, that's in your hands. 20% of your final score is in the balance! Honors Biology - Well, 1 semester down and 7 more to go before you are done with high school! Good Job. Take a break, get out into nature, and when you return we'll be starting a whole new unit!!!
